In a salon, everything is always on. The schedule, the clients, the expectations and the team. There is hard work, a lot of giving and little pause for what is playing beneath the surface.
A JDO Team Retreat takes you out of that daily pressure for a while. Not for a standard company outing or a standalone training day, but to listen again, to connect and to decide together where you want to go.
Why
A salon can keep running. While a team slowly loses each other.
The schedule is full. The clients are happy. Everyone does what needs to be done. From the outside, everything seems fine.
But within a team, something can be shifting in the meantime. Conversations get postponed because the next client is already waiting. Small irritations are left unspoken. A few people carry more and more. The owner is trying to hold it all together, and there never seems to be a right moment for real attention.
Technique makes people good at their craft. But technique does not determine how a team communicates when the pressure rises, how people keep understanding each other, or how you move through change together.
For that, you sometimes need to step out of the everyday. To hear again what is really going on. To see each other not only as colleagues, but as people who carry and build something together every day.
Because that is the difference between a team that only keeps running and a team that keeps growing together.

Why JDO
I know the salon not only as a workplace. I know what it feels like to stand in the middle of it every day.
Juliette started her career behind the chair and worked for eleven years within the daily reality of a salon. She knows the full schedules, the responsibility for clients and the intensity of working closely together for long stretches.
Later she carried that experience into education, international productions, creative teams and wellbeing. That's why JDO looks not only at what a team can do technically, but also at what it takes to keep growing together.

How it works
Getting to know each other
In a no-obligation conversation we listen to where your team stands, what's going on and what you want to achieve. No sales pitch, just genuinely thinking it through with you.
A tailored proposal
Based on that conversation you receive a clear proposal: format, duration, location and content, tuned to your goal and group size. We also match the facilitation to this, with experienced facilitators from JDO. Retreats can take place in Dutch, English, Italian or Spanish.
Preparation
We carefully align the programme, location and practical details, so you can be fully present in the experience.
Team Retreat
You experience the day, or days, together. Away from daily pressure, with room for connection, energy and growth.
Investment
The investment depends on group size, duration, location and content. After the exploratory conversation you receive a clear, tailored proposal, with no surprises afterwards.
In that proposal we set out concretely what the retreat includes: group size, the number of days, a location in the Netherlands or abroad, the programme and the practical organisation. What we arrange for you and what you keep yourselves, we agree on clearly beforehand. A retreat is ideally planned a few months ahead, so we can prepare everything calmly.
