JDO offers flexible, guided training programmes for people who want to retrain, develop or move back towards work. For one candidate or a group, always our own Online Guided programme, running for twelve months. JDO is a training partner of UWV.

What we offer
You choose from our existing programmes. That is deliberate: the programme is in place, has been followed by hundreds of participants and is built on the JDO Method. Nothing has to be developed, you know in advance exactly what your candidate gets, and they can start straight away.
Individual programme
Online Guided in make-up, hairstyling or both. Flexible to follow alongside a reintegration programme, caring responsibilities or a job. Twelve months of access to the learning platform and the guidance, monthly live sessions, portfolio building and a JDO certificate on completion.

Thanks to our purchasing agreements with brands and suppliers, the professional kit costs less through us than buying everything separately. It can be included in the same proposal.
Several participants
Supporting several candidates? They follow the same programme, at a group rate. Because nothing has to be developed, a group can start as quickly as a single participant, and participants can join at different moments.

Make-up artist, hairstylist, beauty advisor, beauty consultant, beauty retail, working in salons, at events, on shoots and productions, or freelance. Where a participant ends up depends on their effort, their network and the market. We guide towards work, but we cannot promise a job.

What it delivers
A profession with several ways in
Work in a salon, at events, in beauty retail, as a beauty advisor or self-employed. A participant does not depend on one employer or one type of role.
Their own pace and control
Someone with limited capacity or caring responsibilities can keep this up, which makes completing it more likely than a course with fixed class days.
Motivation that comes from within
This is a profession people choose themselves. It shows in their effort, in attendance at the live sessions and in how they present themselves afterwards.
Demonstrable results
At the end there is a portfolio of their own work and a JDO certificate. Concrete material for an application or for first bookings.
Where a participant ends up depends on their effort, their network and the market. We guide towards work, but we cannot promise a job.

How it runs
Register a candidate
Get in touch with your candidate’s situation and goal. A name is not needed at this stage; we first think along about the direction.
Training proposal
We provide a proposal or quotation covering the programme content, duration, guidance and investment, suitable for your file or application.
Approval & invoicing
Once approved we invoice at organisation level. JDO Academy is CRKBO-registered, so the courses are exempt from Dutch VAT.
Start & guidance
The participant gets access to the learning platform and starts with a dedicated educator, practical assignments and monthly live sessions.
Progress & reporting
At agreed moments we report back on attendance, submitted assignments and development, so you know where your candidate stands.
Completion
The participant finishes with a portfolio and a JDO certificate, and with work they can use for applications or first bookings.

what you need for an application
Practical
VAT and CRKBO
JDO Academy is CRKBO-registered, so the courses are exempt from Dutch VAT.
Invoicing
We invoice at organisation level, stating the participant and the programme. Payment in instalments can be discussed.
Start date
An Online Guided programme starts straight after approval. There are no fixed intake moments, so a candidate does not have to wait.
Duration: twelve months
The participant has twelve months of access to the learning platform and the guidance. UWV assesses the duration per situation; depending on that, training may last at most one, two or two and a half years. A twelve month programme sits well within that.
Completion
Completion with a portfolio and a JDO certificate; the Make-up Artist Class also includes a portfolio exam.
Time commitment
Around four to six hours a week, scheduled by the participant within the agreed period.
What is needed
A laptop or tablet with internet, and materials to practise with. You order the professional kit through us, at a better price than buying separately thanks to our brand partnerships. It can be included in the training proposal.
