You start right away with the full Make-up Artist Class, including the JDO Welcome onboarding and monthly JDO Academy Sessions. Then you join a multi-day Immersion Experience on location.

Full Make-up Artist Class online

From your enrolment you get immediate access to the full JDO Method and the community. Modules, assignments and exercises that you work through at your own pace and can rewatch without limits.

JDO Welcome onboarding & monthly Academy Sessions

Part of the community from day one. Right after enrolment you receive the JDO Welcome onboarding in your inbox: a welcome and how your platform and app work, so you can start straight away. In the monthly JDO Academy Sessions with Juliette, together with the Online Guided and Hybrid students, you connect, check in and ask your questions, and get inspired by each other's work.

Multi-day Immersion on location

During your journey you join a fitting Immersion Experience. A multi-day hands-on experience where everything comes together: working on models and personal mentoring.

Questions about Immersion.

Can I combine the course with a full-time job?

For the online JDO Method: yes, you follow it at your own pace from home. For the Immersion Days on location you set aside a consecutive week, for example via holiday days. This is an immersion, not an evening course.

Do I need experience to start?

No. The JDO Method guides you step by step from basics to professional level. Beginners are welcome, a passion for make-up is enough to start.

How much time does the course take on average per week?

During the online JDO Method: 4-6 hours per week, at your own pace. During the Immersion Days on location you work hands-on 8-10 hours a day on your growth. Total commitment: approximately 4-6 weeks of preparation + 1 week of immersion.

Are travel and stay to the Immersion location included?

No. You arrange and pay for travel and stay yourself. We do share recommendations for accommodation near the location so you can easily plan your days.

How long do I have access to the online learning platform?

12 months of full access to the JDO learning platform, with continued access to course updates afterwards.

Do I need to arrange models for the classes myself?

No, we arrange all models for the hands-on training and the final photoshoot on location. You show up, we take care of the rest.

Are the professional photoshoots included?

Yes. A final professional photoshoot is included, including the models. The result is published and forms the start of your portfolio.

Can I take part if I live in Belgium or abroad?

Yes. Immersion is designed for both Dutch and international students. You follow the full JDO Method online from any location. For the Immersion Days you travel once to the edition location. Editions are organised throughout the year in the Netherlands and at international locations (such as Barcelona, Amsterdam, Italy or Cape Town).

Can an Immersion Experience come to my country?

Yes. When at least 6 participants come together, we explore the possibility of organising an Immersion Experience in your country or region. Juliette then travels to that location for the Immersion Days.

For groups or schools that want to organise their own edition: dates are flexible. We align the Immersion Days together with the group, at a time that suits. Get in touch to discuss the possibilities.

Can the course be taken in another language?

Yes, on request. The online JDO Method can be translated into the language of the group, so you can follow the full course in your own language. During the Immersion Days on location the group arranges its own interpreter if desired.

Can I pay for the course in instalments?

Yes. The regular price is €4.200 all-in (including models, photoshoot and certification). When paid in full you receive a 5% discount (€3.990). For instalment payments Klarna is available: at Klarna checkout you choose the number of instalments and the related terms. Only travel and stay for the Immersion Days are not included.

Do I receive a JDO certificate after completion?

Yes. You finish with a portfolio exam that we assess. On a positive assessment you receive the JDO Make-up Certificate. JDO Academy is CRKBO-registered, which means the course is exempt from VAT.
