How it works
This is not a course you watch. You start practising on your own practice models straight away, you hand in your work, the JDO Academy educators review it, and every month you are live in the group with Juliette. Wherever you live.

You start today, with your hands
The moment you enrol the platform opens and you get to work. Every week a new lesson is released with an assignment you actually carry out, on your own practice models. You are not waiting for a school year to begin and you are not watching for weeks before you are allowed to do anything: from week one you work.

Your work is reviewed by the educators
You hand in your homework and receive personal feedback from the JDO Academy educators on what you made. Not a tick and not a stock answer, but someone looking at your work and telling you what could be better, and why. That is the difference between a training and a video course.

Every month live, with the whole group
A JDO Academy Session is a monthly live online group call with Juliette and the educators: your fixed moment for guidance and direction. Not a classroom lesson, but live space to ask your questions about the assignments, get direction and stay connected with students from all learning paths, wherever in the world they started. Students who have already finished their course join in too. That way you stay guided, sharp and on course throughout your entire education. The sessions take place in the evening (CET) and are recorded, so you can rewatch them in any time zone.

Exam & JDO Certificate
You finish with your portfolio: all of your work together, assessed by us. On a positive assessment you receive the JDO Make-up Certificate. You get all the exam details when you enrol.

Reviews
As an international student, regularly travelling to an academy in the Netherlands wasn't realistic. With Online Guided I could complete the JDO Method from my own country, with personal feedback and live guidance. I never felt like I was studying alone and built professional techniques and a portfolio.
With a family and a busy job I couldn't attend a physical academy every week. Online Guided gave me the freedom to learn at the moments that were feasible at home, with guidance that provided structure. I now work part-time as a make-up artist and can organise my own time.
A full on-site training wasn't feasible for me. Through Online Guided I could still learn to work professionally alongside my job. After completing it I started as a beauty consultant, where I use my product knowledge and make-up techniques every day.

The same programme, three ways
You are not choosing between three programmes. On all three you learn exactly the same thing: the complete JDO Method, the same assignments, the same feedback from the educators, the same monthly Academy Sessions and the same certificate.
The difference comes down to one thing: how much time you spend together, live. Online Guided asks you to travel nowhere. Hybrid is a monthly evening in Amsterdam. Immersion is five days back to back, or nine days if you take both programmes.
Would you like to combine this with lessons in person? Then Hybrid or Immersion is for you: the same programme, with the live days added.
