The Online Guided learning path combines the flexibility of a 100% online course with the power of personal guidance through monthly JDO Academy Sessions and feedback, wherever you live.

    Learn online at your own pace

    Through the JDO learning platform you follow the complete JDO Method step by step. You get immediate access to all modules, assignments and exercises, which you can work through at your own pace and revisit as often as you like.

  2. 02

    JDO Academy Sessions

    A JDO Academy Session is a monthly live online group call with Juliette and her team: your moment for personal guidance. Not a lesson, but space to connect, check in on how you're doing and ask your questions. You get inspired by students from all learning paths, each of whom started at their own moment, wherever in the world you live. The sessions take place in the evening (CET) and are recorded, so you can rewatch them in any time zone.

    Exam & JDO Certificate

    Along the way your homework is reviewed and assessed by the JDO team, with personal feedback. You finish with an exam: you submit your portfolio, all your work compiled, which we assess. On a positive assessment you receive the JDO Make-up Certificate. You receive all exam details on enrolment.

Questions about Online Guided.

Can I combine the course with a full-time job?
Yes. The Online Guided Class is specifically designed for people with a full-time job, a family or a busy life. You follow the online lessons at your own pace. You schedule the monthly JDO Academy Sessions with Juliette at set times, and if you miss one, you can simply watch it back afterwards.
Do I need experience to start?
No. The JDO Method guides you step by step from the basics to a professional level. Beginners are welcome, a passion for make-up is enough to get started.
How much time does the course take on average per week?
Expect 4 to 6 hours per week: 1-2 hours watching online lessons + 2-4 hours of homework and practising at home. Plus the monthly JDO Academy Sessions, which take place at set times during the month.
What happens if I miss a JDO Academy Session?
The monthly JDO Academy Sessions are recorded, so you can always watch them back. In between, you can also share your questions through the community or bring them to the next session.
How long do I have access to the online learning platform?
12 months of full access to the JDO learning platform, with ongoing access to course updates afterwards.
Do I have to arrange my own models for the lessons?
During the online programme you practise at home with your own models (friends, family or your own network) for assignments and homework. A photoshoot is not required. Would you like a professional photoshoot? That is possible as an optional upgrade, request information by email.
Are the professional photoshoots included?
Not as standard. In the Online Guided learning path the focus is on online learning and monthly JDO Academy Sessions. A professional photoshoot is available as an optional upgrade, get in touch for the options.
Can I take part if I live in Belgium or abroad?
Yes. Online Guided is 100% online, so you can follow the entire course from any location in the world.
Can I pay for the course in instalments?
Yes. Besides paying in one go (€1.950), instalment payment is available via Klarna. At Klarna checkout, the customer chooses the number of instalments and the associated terms.
Do I receive a JDO certificate on completion?
Yes. You finish with a portfolio exam that we assess. On a positive assessment you receive the JDO Make-up Certificate. JDO Academy is CRKBO-registered, which means the course is exempt from VAT.
