Immersion.

I was already working as a make-up artist, but I often had to turn down or pass on hairstyling jobs because I didn't feel confident enough. With the Immersion pathway I could first study the techniques at home and practise them extensively. During the guiding calls I received feedback and could ask questions about the parts that weren't working yet. In the four-day Immersion everything came together. We repeated the techniques, worked intensively on models and refined my finishing. Thanks to the photoshoots I could immediately add professional work to my portfolio. I now offer both hair and make-up and can take on more complete bookings.

Although I had worked as a hairdresser for years, I noticed that with hairstyling I kept falling back on the same techniques and safe looks. I wanted to learn more about preparation, shape, texture and modern editorial and bridal styling. The JDO Method gave me the flexibility to study alongside my salon work. During the calls I could discuss my progress. The four-day Immersion then gave me the depth and direct corrections I needed. I now work more creatively, faster and with much more confidence.

As a mother and freelance make-up artist I couldn't travel to a hairstyling course every week. Yet I wanted to add hair, because clients increasingly asked whether I could provide a complete look. I followed the lessons at home when the children were at school or in bed and used the calls to get feedback on my work. For the closing four-day Immersion I could deliberately block out one period. There everything was repeated, corrected and applied professionally. The photoshoots and certificate ceremony felt like the perfect finish. Now I book complete hair-and-make-up jobs and can plan my own schedule.
