How it works

Learn online at your own pace
Through the JDO learning platform you follow the complete JDO Method step by step. Each week a new lesson is released online, with assignments and exercises you follow at your own pace, on your own schedule, and revisit as often as you like.

JDO Academy Sessions
A JDO Academy Session is a monthly live online group call with Juliette and her team: your moment for personal guidance. Not an extra lesson, but space to connect, ask questions about your assignments, get direction and keep your progress on track together with Juliette and the team. You get inspired by students from all learning paths, each of whom started at their own time, wherever in the world you live. The sessions take place in the evening (CET) and are recorded, so you can rewatch them in any time zone.

Completion & certificate
You do your assignments and practise at your own pace. As soon as you've completed the course, you receive your JDO Hairstyling Certificate. Want to capture your work professionally? Then you can optionally add a professional Portfolio Shoot as an upgrade.
You're never on your own
From your very first day to your certificate you're never on your own, with personal guidance wherever you are.

Reviews
As an international makeup artist, I wanted to add professional hairstyling to my services, but travelling to the Netherlands was not possible. Online Guided allowed me to learn from home while receiving personal feedback on my practice work. The demonstrations were clear, and the live guidance helped me correct details I couldn't spot on my own. I can now offer both hair and makeup to my clients.
As a mother and freelance make-up artist I couldn't travel to an academy regularly. Yet I wanted to add hairstyling, because clients increasingly asked whether I could provide both. With Online Guided I practised when the children were at school or in bed. The feedback gave me direction and kept me from repeating the wrong techniques. I now book complete bridal bookings for both hair and make-up.
I work full-time in my own salon and had no room for a fixed on-location course. Online Guided made it possible to deepen my styling skills outside working hours. Even though I work with hair every day, I discovered how much could still be gained in preparation, product choice and long-lasting finishing. I now create more varied looks and feel much more confident with photoshoots, brides and special occasions.
